Caroline
Wozniacki from Denmark faces hard hitter Tamira
Paszek in the first round of The Championships. This will be
one exciting encounter as both players are at par.
World No.7 Caroline Wozniacki has not had the best year so
far with a win-loss record of 22-12. She is still in the hunt for her first
title of 2012 and would be hoping
to get it here, at The Championships.

Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in action during her Ladies'
Singles first round match against Tamira Paszek of Austria on day two of the
Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet
Club in London, England.
With some really bad losses to her lower
ranked opponents, Wozniacki has
seen a dip in her ranking, which was No.1 when this year started. With her new
coach on her side, Wozniacki
would be aiming to get back to the elusive No.1 position and also win her maiden
Grand Slam. She has started getting more aggressive on the court and its only
time that will tell whether this change has worked or not.

Paszek, on
the other hand enters Wimbledon
with a tournament win at the Aegon International and is ranked at 37 in the
World. She would be very confident coming into this match as her win on grass
would help come with a positive outlook towards this tournament. She did not win
many matches prior to this tournament win, a 7-13 win-loss record states why.
She would fancy her chances against Wozniacki as the Dane is really
struggling to find form.
The two have
played once before with Wozniacki
winning that encounter in straight sets.
