But Patsy Palmer looked a million miles away from her onscreen persona as she enjoyed a holiday in Greece with her husband.

The mother-of-four looked in the best shape of her life as she showed off her superb body in a colourful bikini and celebrated her 40th birthday in the sun.

In her role as Bianca Butcher in EastEnders, we're used to seeing Patsy Palmer covered up in tracksuits and her signature quilted jacket.

But as she takes a six month break from the show, the actress is a world away from her character's depressed life and wardrobe as she soaks up the sun in the Caribbean.

Showing off her slim figure in a patterned halter-neck bikini, its hard to believe the 39-year-old is a mother of four.

But there was no room for control underwear when Patsy Palmer holidayed with her family at the La Manga Club in Spain last week.

Instead, the former EastEnders star, who gave birth to son Bertie last December, showed off her impressively slim figure in a tiny black bikini as she hit the surf.
