If describing the third-round dramas on Court 2 between Ana Ivanovic and Julia Goerges as a 'Battle
of the Babes' appears to objectify the participants, then their respective
magazine assignments and accident of name at least show why the phrase was
coined.
Ivanovic, who is coached by Nigel Sears, the father of Andy Murray's girlfriend, Kim, and who eventually prevailed 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, has participated in a number of scantily-clad glamour shoots in her time.
Most famously she starred in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue of 2010, when some critics suggested she might better spend her time on her tennis than posing in a bikini.

France's Gilles Simon faced fierce criticism at Wimbledon after he claimed women tennis
players should not be paid as well as the men.
Simon, the 13th seed, whose second-round match against Belgian Xavier Malisse was postponed until tomorrow due to rain, sparked controversy when he claimed the current pay equality at grand slam tournaments is unfair.
He told radio station France Info: 'The male players spent twice as long on court at Roland Garros (during the recent French Open) as the women.
